How to crop a PDF
- Open the PDF you want to trim with Select a PDF, or drop it on the box above. Its first page shows in the preview.
- Drag the edges or corners of the box to the area you want to keep, or drag the whole box. You can also type the margins in millimetres.
- Choose whether the crop applies to every page or only the page you’re looking at, then choose Crop PDF and download the file.
Cropping hides the trimmed edges rather than deleting them, so don’t use it to remove anything private. Use Redact PDF for that, and check the result before you share it.
Your file stays on your device
Your browser opens the PDF, draws the preview and saves the cropped copy on your own computer or phone. Nothing is sent to Oppermind, so a scanned ID or a payslip stays with you, and closing the tab clears it. Analytics on this page run only if you allow them, as our privacy policy explains.
Questions
Is cropping PDFs here free?
Yes. You don’t need an account or a card, and nothing is stamped on the cropped file.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Your browser opens the PDF and saves the cropped copy on your own device. Oppermind’s servers never receive it.
Does cropping delete what’s outside the box?
No. Cropping changes the visible page area, so the trimmed part is hidden rather than deleted. Its text and images are still in the file and some editors can show them again. To remove sensitive content for good, use a redaction tool instead.
What happens with pages of different sizes?
With All pages chosen, the same margins in millimetres come off every page. A page too small for those margins is left as it was, and the download screen tells you how many were skipped.
Can I crop a password-protected PDF?
Not here. Open it with the password, save a copy without one, then crop that copy.
