Find the total that does not tie before the partner does, then send the report pack password-protected and signed with your own certificate.

In short
Attach a client workbook in chat and the AI reads every sheet in it, up to a size limit. The Sheet editor explains and audits formulas, runs goal seek, Solver, scenarios and data tables, and keeps snapshots in its version history. The PDF editor protects and certificate-signs the final pack. Oppermind does not prepare or lodge tax or BAS, and the practitioner reviews every output.
A client workbook with four tabs, a formula nobody remembers writing, a statement that arrived as a PDF. Each of those has its own editor in Oppermind, and the AI in chat can read the file you attach or edit the one you have open.
Oppermind works from the files you give it. Export CSV or XLSX from your accounting software and attach it, and check the in-app Connectors list for anything else available to your account.

Check a client workbook for totals that do not tie
Attach the .xlsx in chat and ask which totals do not add up. The AI reads the rows of every sheet as the values Excel last saved, though a very large workbook is cut off at a size limit. To see the formulas, open the file in the Sheet editor and use "Explain formula (AI)" on a cell, "Audit formula" to list each referenced cell and its value, and "Show formulas" to view them all.
"Conditional format" with "Duplicate / unique values" catches double entries, and the column filter chevrons narrow the list. Before you change anything, take More > "Version history" > "Snapshot now", and keep the client's original file as well.
Import the CSV or XLSX into the Sheet editor. "Pivot table" groups by account with the values summed, "Insert slicer" filters the pivot by month, and "Subtotal" and "Group rows" tidy the detail underneath. Chat handles the housekeeping on an open sheet, such as "freeze the top row" or "sort by Amount, largest first", and formulas move with their rows.
"Scenarios (What-if)" stores best, base and worst cases as named sets of cell values. "Goal seek" finds the input that reaches a target, "Solver" maximises or minimises a result under constraints and names the ones that clash when no answer fits, and "Data table (What-if)" runs a formula across a range of inputs. The "$" button shows whole dollars, so follow it with More > "Decimal places" for cents.
"Export XLSX" leaves the scenarios and the Solver model out. Type the cases into cells before the workbook leaves the firm. Treat the result as working analysis for the accountant. It is not advice to the client, and Oppermind's Terms state that outputs are not financial or tax advice.
In the PDF editor, "Extract tables" finds tables in the PDF's text and downloads them as a CSV, which "Import file" brings into the Sheet editor. Check each row against the page, because a gap in a column can shift a value across. A scanned statement has no text for it to read, and "OCR · extract text" reads those pages into a .txt file instead, up to 200 pages.
Use "Merge PDFs" to combine the reports, then "Add page numbers", "Add watermark" with text such as DRAFT, and "Add stamp" (Reviewed or Final). "Password protect" downloads an AES-256 protected copy. "Certificate signature" signs with your .p12 or .pfx file, and the signing runs in your browser, so the key stays on your device.
Sign last, because any edit after signing breaks the signature. Ctrl+Z steps back through page edits, but press Save to keep the pack in your account.
In the Document editor, start from "Library" > Templates > "Business letter" or "Statement of work" and ask chat to draft from your scope notes. The partner turns on "Track changes" in their editor, which records typing and deletions but not pasted text or formatting, and adds a "Comment" wherever needed. Work through the edits in "Review changes".
For the annual round, put fields in the letter with "Insert merge field", paste a CSV of clients into "Mail merge", and step through records with "Preview first" before "Merge all". Keep the agreed template with "Version history" > "Snapshot now".
Import "Spreadsheet review and reporting", "Invoice and expense organisation", "Deadline and renewal tracking" and "Weekly status reporting" from Marketplace > Agent templates, and set the reviewer to run with "Frequency" at "Every month". The reviewer's instructions tell it not to overwrite source data, and the deadline tracker prepares a decision queue without renewing or signing anything.
Oppermind has no tax or BAS lodgement feature and does not act as a tax or BAS agent. Registered practitioners stay responsible for the work and for checking anything the AI drafts or calculates. The Terms state that outputs are not tax or financial advice, and this page is general information, not advice about your obligations.
Decide under your professional and confidentiality obligations what client information you may upload, and do not upload tax file numbers unless you are permitted to. How Oppermind handles uploaded files and connected accounts is set out in the Privacy Policy, with section 5.1a covering what changes when you link an account.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can Oppermind prepare or lodge a BAS or tax return?
No. It has no lodgement feature. It helps you organise and check working papers, and the registered agent signs off and lodges.
Does it connect to our accounting software?
Check the Connectors list in the app for what is available today. Any system that exports CSV or XLSX works through a file attachment.
Are formulas read when I attach a workbook in chat?
Attached workbooks are read as the values Excel saved, not the formulas behind them. Open the file in the Sheet editor when you need to trace a formula.
Can an agent run on a schedule, such as at month-end?
Yes. Any agent can run as a routine every hour, day, week or month at a time in your timezone, or on a custom interval. Each run is saved as a session you can open and question.
