Agents mode

Hire an agent with a name, a role and a goal, read its row, steer its session, and keep the Agents list tidy.

Switch to Agents mode

The left panel has two modes, Chat and Agents. Agents lists everyone you have hired, grouped by what needs you: Needs you, Running, Routines and listeners, Finished today, and Ready for the agents with nothing on right now. The action rows are New agent, New routine and New folder, with Filter agents underneath. On the phone the same list is the Agents tab of the history drawer. When the panel is collapsed, the rail shows three agents and then three routines.

The Agents panel: action rows, the filter, then the four buckets.
Try this
Open the left panel, click Agents, then New agent.
What you getThe New agent chooser opens: search your existing agents, Create agent, or Create group chat.

Create an agent

An agent is an employee: a name, a role and a goal. Create agent asks for a Name, Instructions and When to work: Now, once; On a schedule; When a webhook arrives; or When a connected service changes. The agent opens as a conversation whose first card asks the same three things, Name, Goal and When to work. Continue saves them; the agent introduces itself and starts, and it never asks for its name again.

New agent: search what you have, or create an agent or a group chat.
The setup card: name, goal, when to work, then Continue.
Try this
Name: Mia · Head of Research. Goal: I'm starting an online shoe store on dropshipping: everyday sneakers and casual shoes, Australia first, then New Zealand, from a $25,000 start. You are our head of research. Research this market with sources: size and growth of online footwear in Australia, the top five competitors and their price points, the realistic dropshipping supplier options with lead times to Australia and typical landed cost per pair, and the three biggest risks. Deliver a two-page opportunity brief as a Word document with every figure cited. Never invent a figure; cite it or flag it. When to work: Now, once.
What you getThe card is saved, Mia introduces herself and starts; her row appears under Running and the brief lands in Doc Manager when she finishes.

Read the row and steer the work

Each row shows the agent's status. A Running row keeps moving until the work is done and shows how long it has run. Needs you means the agent asked a question: open the row and answer it. Finished today is where completed work lands; the document, sheet, site or deck it produced is in Doc Manager. Hover a row for Rename, Delete and Stop. Open any row to see the agent's working session and message it to steer: a change, a correction, or "Finish with what you have and list what's missing."

One row per agent: Needs you, Running, Finished today.
Steering a session: say the change, the agent makes it and reports.
Try this
Open Sam · Engineering under Running and type: Change the pre-order button to "Reserve my pair" and republish.
What you getThe row stays on Running while Sam edits, then moves to Finished today with a new preview link in the session.

Folders, rename and duplicate

Folders you make in the Chat list show in Agents too. New folder adds one; drag an agent onto a folder on desktop, or use Move to folder on the phone; drop it on a status heading to take it back out. The title menu at the top of an agent's conversation offers Rename, Delete and Duplicate agent, which makes a second agent with the same instructions for a new job. Filter agents narrows the list by name.

A folder in Agents mode holds agents the way it holds chats.
Try this
Duplicate Mia · Head of Research, rename the copy Mia · NZ research, and give it the New Zealand brief.
What you getTwo agents with the same method and different markets sit side by side under Running.

On the phone

Open the history drawer and tap Agents. New agent, New routine and New folder are the first rows, and the buckets match desktop. In an agent's chat the header carries New routine and Members as icon buttons, and the open row shows Rename and Delete. Answer a Needs you question from the phone and the same session continues.

The same list on the phone, in the Agents tab of the drawer.
Try this
On your phone, open Priya · Finance under Needs you and reply: Ad budget is $6,000 for the first 90 days.
What you getThe answer reaches Priya's session; the row moves from Needs you back to Running and the model updates.
