Commands depend on context
Available commands can change with the editor, connected tools, permissions, and workspace capabilities.
Why does /diff say no files are open? It worked yesterday.

/diff reads the open code pane, so it has nothing to show in a chat with no project open. Other commands depend on context too: /mcp lists only the servers you have connected, and your own saved commands appear only for you.

✦Open the command menu with / while a Sheet is the active editor and note the list, then start a fresh chat with nothing open and type / again.
What you getThe two lists differ: some entries appear only while an editor is open or a connector is attached, so the menu is worth a glance in each new context.
