Use current guidelines, approved assets, and representative work. Remove duplicated or outdated material before it becomes a rule.
Settings → Brand kit: upload approved material, add voice notes, or generate a kit from a description.
Try this
✦Open Settings from the bottom-left avatar, choose Brand Kit, and drop only brand-guidelines-v4.pdf, the two approved logo files and last quarter's campaign one-pager into the upload area. Leave the 2023 guidelines and the draft rebrand deck out, then click Upload & activate.
What you getThe kit is built from just the current sources, so the voice and visual rules Oppermind derives come from approved material rather than an outdated or duplicated document.
Define voice as choices
Explain how the brand decides between direct and expressive, concise and explanatory, or formal and conversational language.
Write a headline for the invoice-reminders launch page, then the opening paragraph of its help article.
◆ Lato · Pro
Headline: Invoice reminders now send themselves. Help article: Invoice reminders send a nudge when an invoice passes its due date. This article covers timing, templates and pausing reminders for one customer. Direct and concise for the headline, explanatory for help, per the kit's voice notes.
One kit, two registers: the voice notes decide which applies to each format.
Try this
✦In the kit's Voice notes box, paste:
We choose direct over expressive: lead with the outcome, one idea per sentence. Concise in headlines and social posts, explanatory in help articles. Conversational with customers, formal in tenders. Never use hype words such as revolutionary or game-changing.
What you getWith the kit attached, Oppermind applies those choices, so a headline comes out short and direct while a help article from the same kit is allowed to explain.
Set visual rules
Record approved colors, typography, spacing, imagery, icon treatment, accessibility standards, and format-specific constraints.
Set up our brand kit: deep navy #0B3D91 with amber #F5A623 accent, Inter body text, Fraunces headings, 4.5:1 minimum contrast, real-customer photography only, outlined icons, A4 portrait for printed collateral.
◆ Lato · Pro
Kits are built in Settings under Brand Kit: paste that into Describe your brand and click Generate with AI. You get those colours, fonts and image rules plus document, slide and sheet template previews to review, rename or regenerate before use.
Visual rules are recorded in Settings, not chat; Lato points to the box that builds the kit.
Try this
✦In the Describe your brand box under Brand Kit, type:
Deep navy #0B3D91 with amber #F5A623 accent, Inter body text, Fraunces headings, 4.5:1 minimum text contrast, photography of real customers only, outlined icons not filled, A4 portrait for all printed collateral.
Then click Generate with AI.
What you getOppermind generates a kit with those colours, fonts and image rules plus document, slide and sheet template previews you can review, rename or regenerate before using it.
Name the guardrails
List claims, styles, topics, and treatments that require review or should never be used.
Write a Facebook post for the new sleep supplement. Lead with the 40 percent better-sleep result from our trial, and mention it is $49 for this week only.
◆ Lato · Pro
Draft: Sleep that actually restores. Our new formula is built around ingredients chosen for deep, steady sleep. Guardrails applied: the 40 percent claim is marked for review until a study is cited, the one-week countdown is out, and the $49 price is flagged for finance.
The guardrails travel with the kit: risky claims are removed or marked for review, not published.
Try this
✦Add these guardrails to the kit's voice notes: never claim clinical results without a cited study, never name a competitor, never use urgency countdowns, and mark any statistic for review before publishing. Pricing statements must be checked by finance.
What you getDrafts made with the kit attached avoid those claims or mark them for review, so the guardrails travel with every campaign asset instead of living in one person's head.
Attach a kit to the chat
Open the composer plus menu, choose Brand Kits, select the relevant kit, and confirm its brand kit chip. Kits are explicitly selected for a chat rather than silently prefilled from settings.

The brand-kit chip confirms the kit is in play. A kit that is only active in Settings does not apply.
Try this
✦Click +, open the Brands tab and choose the Northwind Coffee kit, then confirm the brand-kit chip is above the composer before typing:
Write three Instagram captions announcing our new cold brew, each under 30 words.
What you getThe brand-kit chip is your receipt that the kit applies to this chat and the captions follow the Northwind voice; a kit merely marked active in Settings does nothing to the reply.
