Settings, preferences and your account
Find settings on desktop and phone, manage notifications, AI preferences, memory, billing and account security.

Open the settings for your device
On desktop web and the Windows wrapper, open your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Settings. Expand the sidebar first if it is collapsed. On a phone, open the navigation sidebar from the chat header, open your profile menu and choose Settings. In the phone settings screen, use Settings menu in the header to reveal the section list when it is hidden. Desktop screenshots and bottom-left instructions describe the desktop layout; they are not directions to a control permanently visible on the phone.

Choose notifications and verify the save
Open Notifications. On desktop, use the event-by-channel table to choose which alerts arrive in the app or by email. Adjust Email digest schedule and Play sound on notification if needed, then use the save control and check its result. Use Test for an event if you want to check delivery; it can send an actual notification. On your phone, use the notification options shown in its settings section. Native push delivery also depends on the notification permission in iOS or Android settings. Reopen the section to confirm a saved choice; a checked box alone does not prove a successful save.
Review learned AI preferences
Open AI preferences on either device and read Saved AI Preferences. Each entry shows its label, category and whether it was AI detected or Explicit, with a confidence indicator. These are learned style preferences, rather than the chat mode or reasoning effort. Use Remove preference (the trash icon) to remove an unwanted entry and check that it disappears after the request succeeds. Reset All removes all saved style preferences after your confirmation; Lato then learns your style again. If the list is empty, there are no saved preferences to review. Choose the current chat mode and reasoning effort separately from the composer mode picker.
Manage memory separately from style
Open Memory. Long-term memory controls remembering facts across conversations. On desktop, search the categories, open the relevant entries and use the available Add category, Import, Export or Generate from chats controls for the action you need. Native file selection stays with you. Review the entries before using Forget everything: that permanently removes remembered information rather than changing a response style. A Skill or Brand Kit is also separate: attach it to the chat from + and check its chip.
Change appearance on desktop or phone
Open Appearance to choose Light, Dark or System and the available font, size, density and accessibility options. System follows your device appearance. Check the preview and save where the screen requires it. Some changes may preview immediately before they are saved. The floating prompt-formatting menu follows the desktop theme; the phone composer has a different layout and does not have that desktop selection menu.
Review your plan, billing and usage
On desktop, open Plan & billing; on a phone, open Subscription from the Settings menu. Read the current plan and subscription status first. Desktop Manage subscription opens the payment-provider portal; the Payment methods and Invoices sections show the available records, with Download on invoices that have a link. Use the visible plan controls for a plan change and review its checkout confirmation. Desktop Cancel via Stripe opens a separate cancellation flow; the screen explains access through the end of the billing period. Usage is a separate section for consumed capacity. On iOS or Android, billing options depend on where you subscribed. If the screen directs you to the web or your app-store subscription settings, follow that instruction. Deleting an Oppermind account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Read current prices, usage and reset information from your account screen.
Manage profile, security and account access
Open Profile to update the personal details offered on that device and use its Save control. Open Security to review sign-in information, two-factor authentication and recent security events. Desktop email changes are in Security; the phone screen directs you there. Devices & sessions lists account access separately: review the selected device before using its sign-out control. Delete account is in Security on desktop and phone. Read its permanent-deletion warning and complete the confirmation yourself. Verification codes, account-deletion confirmations and permission decisions stay with you. Lato can open a screen and point out a control, but does not supply those decisions.
Review privacy, export data and find legal policies
Open Privacy. Review Conversation retention, Save chat history and the other data-use controls shown on your device. Read each control’s explanation before changing it, then save and confirm the result. Use the data-download or export control shown in Your data to request an export; keep the resulting file private. Open Legal Hub from this section for current terms and policies. Account deletion is a separate Security action, and removing a style preference is separate from forgetting memory or deleting your account.
Ask for a guided settings demonstration
Ask “Open Notifications settings and show me where to change my alerts” or “Show me how to add a Brand Kit on this phone.” Lato can inspect the current app, open a supported section and highlight the next step after an explicit interactive request. Keep the conversation visible. If it needs a native file picker or a protected confirmation, you finish that step yourself. See the App-control demonstrations guide for screenshots, stopping and recovery.
