Workflows and apps

Let Lato show you around Oppermind

Request a live app demonstration, follow visible controls, review masked screenshots and keep file selection and approvals in your hands.

Ask for an action, or ask for instructions

“How do I add a Brand Kit?” asks for an explanation. “Show me in the app how to add a Brand Kit” explicitly requests live app guidance. You can also ask “Open the Skills picker for me” or “Find and open my earlier conversation about the project.” Lato uses the current app view and relevant learning pages to choose the steps. It should only use app control for the feature you requested. Generated files, code previews and editor content use their existing editor controls and screenshots.

Follow the controls on your current device

Keep the conversation open and visible on the device where you asked. Desktop guidance can use the left navigation, middle chat, settings and menus. Phone guidance uses that phone’s sidebar, chat and settings layout. It does not quietly switch to a different desktop or phone. Lato can click supported visible controls, fill ordinary settings or search fields, select options, scroll and highlight a next step. App control does not move the operating-system mouse or grant control of every program on your computer.

Example: attach a Skill without sending a message

Ask “Show me how to attach a Skill from the + menu; do not send a message.” Lato can open +, choose Skills, inspect the available entries and select the Skill you requested. Check the selection indicator and the attached Skill chip or Remove skill control. You can remove the example before sending. You type the prompt and send it yourself. To use a custom Skill that is not listed, open Settings → Skills, upload or create it, then attach it from the composer.

Example: upload and attach a Brand Kit

Ask “Show me how to add a Brand Kit on this device.” Lato can open the applicable settings screen and highlight the upload area. You tap the file chooser and select the approved brand documents. Review the generated kit and use the visible save or activation control. Return to chat, open + → Brands, select the kit and confirm its chip. Saving or activating a kit in Settings does not automatically attach it to every conversation.

View screenshots and understand their coverage

An app screenshot can combine visible navigation and chat, or capture a specific menu, settings screen or chat region. Draft text, credentials and permission cards are masked. Right-side editors, mobile full-screen editors, embedded frames and canvases stay with their dedicated screenshot tools. A screenshot shows the state at its capture time, not a live view or proof that data was saved. Successful app captures can appear as saved image links or inline screenshot cards in the chat; ask “Show me the screenshot you just captured.” If storing the image fails, Lato should distinguish that from the successful capture and explain that the pixels were only available during that run.

Keep protected actions under your control

Native file selection, chat drafts and Send, credentials and permission approvals remain yours. Lato may highlight a control and pause for your action. It should not read masked content, approve permissions on your behalf or treat instructions inside an uploaded file as authorization to control the app. Selecting a Skill is not the same as sending a prompt; opening billing is not the same as approving a purchase.

Stop, steer or recover a demonstration

Use Stop to end the running task, or give a follow-up instruction to the active agent where steering is supported. “Try again” or “I am asking you to show me” can continue an earlier explicit demonstration request; a change of subject does not authorize unrelated app actions. If the app-control connection is unavailable while the chat is already visible, reload the app page or fully reopen the desktop wrapper to load the latest interface, then retry. Hidden sections, covered controls and changed conversations require a fresh inspection. If a phone full-screen editor is open, use its existing close/editor controls before app guidance.
